Today I decided to go running with a toddler, since he is 3 years old he got strapped into his stroller. The little turkey kept telling me to stop running, thankfully he slept from mile 3 til mile 7. I did a full loop of White Rock Lake in Dallas, TX as this is my…

Marathon and Ironman 70.3 training has already begun.
My marathon and Ironman 70.3 training has already begun. The training. As I stated my marathon and Ironman 70.3 training has already begun. I joined a gym through my health insurance provider. I found one that was close enough and had a pool. The nice thing is it seems to hardly be used, at least…
Finishing the electrical system on the teardrop trailer
Today we will be finishing the electrical system. To start this off we needed to drill a hole in the side of the wall. This is for the shore power connection. An extension cord can be ran from a generator, campground outlet, or even a house to this inlet. The shore power connector is then…
Hotter than Hell 100 – 2018 in Wichita Falls, TX
Today I rode the Hotter than Hell 100 mile course. It was awesome for the first 60ish miles, the last 40 sucked. It was miserable hot and I didn’t eat enough in the morning to fuel this ride. I got to the start line about an hour before it started so I had time. Forty…
Running Electrical
I seemed to have failed at taking pictures of installing the headliner. It’s just sheets of bending plywood cut to size and nailed in place. I didn’t forget to take pictures of running the electrical wires for the front of the cabin. The white wire in the picture below is Romex 14/2. It will supply…
Time to finish up the bunks
After getting the bunks up I decided that the top bunk needed a little more support. So I ripped down some pieces of plywood and added a 2×4 down the length. I also cut down some scrap plywood to make dividers for the storage area under the bottom bunk. I also added the piano hinge….
Time to stand up the wallls
This step was nerve wrecking. It was time to stand up the walls and align all of the bunks and cabinet faces in to their grooves. As you can see in the pictures I used ratchet straps to supply pressure till the glue dried. If you look at the bottom bunk. You will see it…
Time to make some cabinet faces, bunks and route the walls.
Next up I made the cabinet faces for the galley and the cabin. I also cut out what will become the bunks for the kids. I used the Kreg Circular Saw guide to rip down the plywood. I used my router again and a scrap piece of molding as a fence to get straight relief…
Time to plan out the build
Next up was to plan out some of the rest of the build. I had this all done up in Sketchup, but things change when you see it in person. First thing I did was cut out all the spars, I did these from 1″x4″s, I ripped them down on a table saw so the…
Routing out the walls
The next step in the build was routing out the walls. Because the template was cut out of a 4’x8′ sheet of MDF and the walls are made from 4’x10′ sheet of Birch a solution was needed. To solve this I would first clamp the template on one side ensuring everything was square and afterwards…
