Hotter than Hell 100 – 2018 in Wichita Falls, TX

Posted on August 25, 2018December 12, 2025 by Michael

Today I rode the Hotter than Hell 100 mile course. It was awesome for the first 60ish miles, the last 40 sucked. It was miserable hot and I didn’t eat enough in the morning to fuel this ride. I got to the start line about an hour before it started so I had time. Forty miles in we were stopped by a train. I overheard someone say what’s a cycling event in Texas without a train. I made it to Hell’s Gate in 3:11 hours and got to see the devil… and Pyro (He’s the big red dude). It’s 60 miles from the start.
